ATR cameraman Eskander Nebiyev detained and sentenced to 2.5 years of prison (suspended sentence)
In Crimea, the cameraman of Crimean Tatar TV channel ATR was detained before the court session, Eskander Nebiyev. On October 12, the central court of Simferopol sentenced him to 2 years 6 months of prison, with execution of the sentence suspended on parole. The cameraman was accused of organizing "mass disorders" on Ferbruary 26, 2014, near the Parliament building, when Russian troops captured Crimean Parliament. On October 10, the body of his father Bekir Nebiyev was allegedly found, who was accused earlier of shooting at an ambulance.
