At the elections of rector in Vinnytsia pedagogical University journalists were considered observers

21.04.2015, 00:07

During the elections of the rector in Vinnytsia pedagogical university, correspondent of the website Liudmyla Klishchuk was not allowed into the room where the voting was held. Head of the election committee Oleksander Mozhovyi explained it was because the journalist was not accredited. Yet, the journalist claims that at the university website there is no information about necessity of accreditation for journalists. When asked, what the regulations that stipulate the necessity of accreditation are, Mozhovyi referred to methodological recommendations of the Ministry of Education, which, however, relate not to journalists but to observers. He also said that the journalist "did not particularly insist" on being present at the room for casting votes after being denied access there.
