At military base in Yevpatoria journalists of "Al-Jazeera" and "1+1" were blocked

11.03.2014, 18:52

The filming crews of the journalists of TV channels "Al-Jazeera" and "1+1" were blocked at the military base near Yevpatoria. When the journalists finished filming and were getting ready to leave the base, about 150 persons stood in their way. They demanded to see the journalists' IDs and credentials and also to see their footage. They claimed that Western media outlets were biased against Russia and talking about the war. The protesters claimed there was no war as Russians and Ukrainians are brothers. The filming crews did manage to leave the base but the protesters followed them to the city outskirt to make sure they were not filming anything else.
