At Lviv radio, broadcast of interview with Alasania was cancelled
At Lviv oblast radio, the interview with Zurab Alasania that was planned for broadcasting on Monday, May 2nd, was removed from the broadcast program. The interviewer Sviatoslav Drabchuk wrote about this on his Facebook page.
The interview was about creation of the community television and radio, about the prospects of their development and new models of state-owned radio stations. Initially, the administration cooperated just fine and thanked the interviewer. But later, the broadcasting was postponed, and, finally, cancelled – they even did not allow the interviewer to take a copy.
The radio director Myroslava Lubkovych in a private conversation told Drabchuk that the interview was not aired because he was asking "wrong questions" – he should have asked, she said, what the salaries will be and when they will be paid.
Regional IMI correspondent in Lviv now attempts to take a comment from Ms Lubkovych about this case of overt censorship.
