April 8th deadline for admission of applications for Freedom House’s contest

The Freedom House is announcing contest for analythical surveys “Whistleblowers, investigative journalism and their part for democracy consolidation”, as to Gurtresource center. The investigation journalists and civic activists plaid a key role in spreading of the information of public importance. The aim of this survey to describe the role of investigative journalists as to strengthening of civil control and evolution of democracy, and cover pressure they face in Ukraine. The applications are admitted tillApril 8th. The applicants can send CV and brief description (200 words) with main idea and arguments in English or in Ukrainian to e-mail: [email protected]. Freedom House and its partners Institute of Mass Information, Platform of human rights, Center for human rights “Change” (Zmina) are to announce the winner before April 15th. The first draft of analysis (2500-3000 words) is to be prepared ubtil May 15th. Fee amount is $200. The researcher selected in the framework of the contest will be assisted by advisors in his(her) work over the survey.
