Amendments to e-declaration law cause concern - G7 Ambassadors
The Ambassadors of the G7 Support Group welcomed the decision of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, to establish a working group to make changes to the law of e-declaration, in particular regarding the need for anti-corruption NGO activists fill the declaration. This is stated in the statement of ambassadors, published at the Italian Embassy in Ukraine, LIGA reported.
According to the statement, the meeting held on March 27.
"Ambassadors discussed with President Poroshenko a number of recent issues that have been of concern, specifically to the fight against corruption, particularly such as the extension of electronic asset declarations to representatives of civil society. They were encouraged by President Poroshenko’s promise to convene a working group, including civil society, to look at recent legislative amendments." - goes in a statement.
