Alasania expects Supervisory board to revote his dismissal

Zurab Alasania who had been dismissed from office of the Chairman the Board of the Public TV and radio broadcasting company is expecting the Supervisory board to revote his dismissal in an open vote, as he told interviewed by Hromadske. “If the Supervisory board gathers in a full staff, if they say frankly what is the reason (of this dismissal), if they vote in an open mode, so there will be no question”, Alasania said. He added he had many questions as to the procedure of the previous vote. “Firstly, it was a closed vote, secondly, there was no blame clearly expressed, and half of persons who had to attend that meeting were absent. So it will be a civil action, but only in order to start reviewing the situation”, he said. Earlier, a member of NSTU Glibovytsky suggested to revote the decision to dismiss Alasania in an open mode. As IMI reported previously, on the 31st of January, the Supervisory board of the National public television and radio broadcasting company of Ukraine decided to dismiss Zurab Alasania from position of the Chairman of the Board of the National public broadcasting company.
