Citizen journalist Iryna Danilovych is being held in the Simferopol pre-trial detention center. The Crimean Human Rights Group reported this.

Iryna's lawyer has received a confirmation that she was there. To date, we have not been able to meet with her, but it is already known that the investigative bodies of the "FSB Office of the Republic of Crimea" have opened a case against her.

It is still unknown what the journalist is suspected of and where she has been all this time.

As IMI reported, on April 29, in the occupied Crimea, russian security forces detained citizen journalist Iryna Danilovych. She was detained on her way from work on the road from Koktebel to Feodosia. Her house in Vladislavivka village was searched, her phone and laptop were seized.

Several public human rights organizations demanded the release of citizen journalist Iryna Danilovych, who had been abducted in Crimea.
