22.11.2011, 01:33
A Kalashnikov cartridge was thrown under the door of the journalist of “1+1” TV channel Oleksii Kutepov, when he was leaving his home on Monday, July 18th. Online newspaper “Telekrytyka” informed about this incident.

According to Mr Kutepov, when he opened the door of his flat, a white envelope with Kalashnikov 5,45 mm cartridge inside fell to his feet.

The journalist has immediately called the police, who removed the cartridge, examined the place with guard dog, lifted fingerprints and received Oleksii Kutepov explanations.

"I do not know who did this, but I definitely attribute this to my professional activities, as I haven’t had any personal conflicts", - Oleksii Kutepov said. He interpreted the cartridge as a hint that he should abandon some of his journalistic investigations topics, but does not know which exactly: "My latest topics were drugs, casinos, case of illegally sentenced Michael Kramarenko, because of which I had a conflict with the judge of Dnipropetrovsk court Fedoseev."

On July 19th, the police initiated Oleksii Kutepov death threat case (article 120 Criminal Code of Ukraine). The case was instituted on the fact of Kalashnikov cartridge, thrown under the door of the journalist’s flat. The journalist has also granted protection - two members of the special police service "Griffon."

Oleksii Kutepov was also questioned as a witness in the case of attempted murder of his colleague from "Obozrevatel” Anatolii Sharii (unknown persons shot his car on the night of July 13, when he returned from an investigation of gambling).

Oleksii Kutepov holds a series of journalistic investigations together with the journalist ofthe online edition "Obozrevatel" Anatolii Sharii.

This is not the first time that police guards Mr. Kutepov. In February this year after repeated telephone threats he was guarded by the special unit "Sokiln". He began to receive threats after the investigation of the legal hospitals, where those who wish have drugs injections.
