Court in Crimea arrested journalist of ATR in absentia

Kiev district court in annexed by Russia Crimea ruled to arrest in absentia the journalist for ATR Gulsum Khalilova, as the Crimean human rights group reported it in Facebook. Gulsum Khalilova was informed of the criminal proceeding on August 1. “On July 12, 2019, the “judge of the Kyiv district court ”of Crimea, Denys Didenko, in absentia, considered the motion of the FSB investigator O.V. Kutsy and ordered to take the journalist into custody in absentia, from the moment of her detention in the territory of Russia or in the case of Khalilova's extradition to the Russian Federation, ”the message reads. According to the Crimean Human Rights Group, citing the website of the Kyiv district court, the judge indict the journalist for being involved in illegal militia  (Art. 208 Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
