The circle of suspected of murder of the journalist Pavel Sheremet has narrowed from some thousands to some hundreds of persons, as Yuriy Lutsenko, Prosecutor General told interviewed by Dmytro Gordon (“Invited by Dmytro Gordon”). “As to Sheremet, this is very difficult case. Even FBR was unable to help us with available tapes. But the circle of suspected has narrowed from some thousands to some hundreds”, he said. On the 20th of July 2016, as IMI reported, in an explosion of a car in center of Kyiv famous Russian, of Byelorussian origin Pavel Sheremet was killed. The murder was qualified as “premeditated murder, committed in a way dangerous for many persons”. Since the day of murder the investigation failed to establish killers and instigators of this crime. The car red Subaru belonged to Alyona Prytula, his common-law wife and founder of Ukrayinska Pravda. Among the versions of investigators there are an attempt against the highly critial journalis Pavel Sheremet, or against Alyona Prytula. On the 9th of November 2018, Yuriy Kutsenko, Prosecutor General told to TV channel “Pryamyy” that within the case on the murder of Sheremet the law enforcement system has made no progress yet.
