29.03.2015, 19:41

The journalist of the project “Lustrator 7.62” of the TV channel “2+2”, Iryna Matviyenko, claims that an unidentified man threatened her with physical violence unless she stops investigating land scams in the village of Rozhivka in Kyivska oblast. “Lustrator 7.62” issued a story about this threat.

As IMI informed, in February in the village of Rozhivka  in Kyivska oblast the filming crew of channel 2+2 "Lustrator" program were investigating abuse of power by Sofia Velychenko, village head of Rozhivka, and were attacked by her husband Leonid Velychko, who is also local deputy - Leonid took their camera and Iryna Matvienko’s personal phone.

And now Iryna complains that she is receiving threats both in social networks and in the office, which was visited by a group of individuals wearing military camouflage uniforms, headed by well-known volunteer activist Vitaliy Kornet, who demanded to "change the editorial policy", threatening to block the channel if their demands are not satisfied.   The journalist says that Kornet has been chasing the filming crew for a month already, when they were conducting the investigation, and that he is trying to cover up for the Velychenko family. After the threats, the media group 1+1 submitted an official complaint to the Prosecutor General   Viktor Shokin and the military prosecutor's office of Ukraine, demanding to investigate the situation and to punish those at fault.
