206 printed media outlets declared they are ready for the first stage of reformation

206 printed mass media outlets expressed their readiness for the first stage of the reform. This was announced on June 23 at the meeting of the collegium of the State Committe for television and radio broadcasting of Ukraine by the head of the department of editorial industry and press Oleksiy Kononenko, Ukrinform reforms.

“The list of printed mass media outlets and editorial offices that are subject to reformation on the first stage is to be formed by July 1. Each day, we receive new documents. Yesterday, we had 198 participants, who declared they are ready for the first stage, and today the list includes 206 of them. 248 editorial offices are ready for the second stage as of today”, Kononenko said.

The reform provides for transition of local state-owned media into communal ownership.
