20 sites of Ukraine online media in Crimea completely locked

In the occupied Crimea, at least 25 sites have been completely locked. Five more Internet resources are partially blocked. This is stated in the monitoring of the Crimean human rights group, published on its website.

Most of the blocked sites are popular Ukrainian online media. According to the study, at least 11 providers in 9 Crimean settlements completely suspended the websites of 20 Ukrainian mass media. 

These are : Ukrinform, Censor.net, QHA, Sled.net, Informatsiyny sprotyv, UAinfo, Blackseanews, Apostroph, Holovne, Hromadske radio, Center for Journalistic Investigations, Livy Bereh, Podrobnosti, Strichka, ToneTo, TSN, Ukrainska Pravda, RBC, Dzerkalo Tyzhdnya , Kherson Daily.

The websites of LinkedIn, the Crimean Tatar Majlis, the Ministry of Reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, and Hizb ut-Tahrir are also completely blocked.

In addition, some providers disabled five more Ukrainian sites.

For example, the sites of Glavkom, Channel 5, Channel 112, Depot are not available from nine of the eleven providers.

The website of the Prosecutor's Office of the ARC and the city of Sevastopol is not available from one of the eleven providers.

The monitoring of access to the sites was conducted in November-December 2020 with support of 11 different providers in 9 settlements: NeapolGroup (Bilogorsk), SevStar (Sevastopol), Mechta (Simferopol), KST (Simferopol), Bosphortelecom (Kerch), YaltaNet (Yalta), SkyLine (Krasnoperekopsky district), Gigabyte (Bakhchisaray), Kerchnet (Kerch), Dzhankoy-online (Dzhankoy), Feonet (Feodosia).
