"1+1" journalists got undressed and searched at border with Belarus for story about Lukashenko

18.04.2016, 15:20

The filming crew of the TV channel 1+1 were being searched for several hours by the customs officers of Belarus at the checkpoint "Nova Huta": their car was disassembled into parts, the journalists were left in their underwear, searched, and not allowed to call to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus. The information was published by “Belorsukiy Partizan”, with reference to a Facebook entry by the channel’s journalist Yevhen Plinskyi. It was done in spite of the fact that the crew was registered for work in Belarus. The officers refused to explain why all these measures were taken, and refused to introduce themselves. The reports prepared by the team in Belarus were about radioactive contamination of the territory of Belarus after the Chornobyl disaster, about the estates of President Lukashenko, and about how Belarus managed to make business on the war of Ukraine and Russia.  The journalists promise to file an official complaint about this case.
