On June 14, around noon a “Hromadske.TV” journalist Anastasia Stanko was detained by Russian border guards in the Ukrainian village of Milove, Luhanska oblast, which is located on the border with the Russian Federation. This was reported on the “Hromadske.TV” website.
Stanko was preparing a live standup when the telephone connection with her was lost.
The vice Prime Minister Vitaliy Yarema informed “Hromadske.TV” by phone that the Ukrainian border guards were aware of the detained journalist and were working on resolving the issue.
On 3.15 p.m. Stanko called “Hromadske.TV” and informed that she was on the Russian side of the border. At 6 p.m. it became known that she returned to Ukraine safely.
